I found this recipe off pinterest, but then when I got to it, something seemed off. Weirdly, it seemed too simple, as if something wouldn’t taste right about it. So I made a couple minor tweaks. The original recipe http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/nutella-cookies called for a cup of Nutella, but I took the advice of some of the reviews and lessened the Nutella (too much waste of perfectly good nutella ) and added some peanut butter.
It’s still verrrrry simple. With just a few ingredients and in a very short time you can make some fun chocolate cookies. Oh and they’re great dipped in a tall glass of milk!
3/4 cup Nutella
1/4 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Flour
2 tbsp Water
1 tsp Oil
Pinch of Salt
Preheat oven to 350F
Put all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Mix them well with a spatula. Take teaspoon sized dough and make a ball with your hands. Place the balls on a cookie sheet. Take a glass and press down on the balls to flatten them a bit. Then with a fork push down on the cookies to make a criss-cross shape.
Bake for 6-10 minutes. Any longer and you will have biscuits instead, so it’s really your call. I felt like 10 minutes was perfectly fine for me.
And that’s it! Literally takes less than half an hour! Good activity to do with kids for a quick treat. Oh also, these are not super sweet, if you prefer your cookies on the sweeter side then you are free to add 1/4 cup of caster sugar, but for me, I preferred the mildness of it.
